2013 Consolidated Election Packets Now Available
Eight Offices are Up for Election
Nomination packets for the Consolidated Election are now available for pickup at the Reception Desk in the St. Charles Municipal Center, 2 E. Main Street. Petitions may not be circulated prior to September 24, 2012. The completed nomination packets must be filed between December 17 and December 24, 2012. All are due back into the City Clerk's office by 5 p.m. December 24, 2012.
The 2013 Consolidated Election will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Offices up for election are:
- Mayor (currently Donald P. DeWitte)
- City Clerk (currently Nancy Garrison)
- City Treasurer (currently Warren Drewes)
- Alderman, Ward 1 (currently Jon Monken)
- Alderman, Ward 2 (currently Cliff Carrignan)
- Alderman, Ward 3 (currently Bill Turner)
- Alderman, Ward 4 (currently Jo Krieger)
- Alderman, Ward 5 (currently Maureen Lewis)
The Kane County Election Department can assist you with questions about precincts or general election questions at 630-232-5990. The State Board of Elections may be reached at 217-782-4141. All suggested election forms are available online at www.elections.il.gov. It is recommended that candidates running for office consult with an attorney on specific questions they might have regarding election codes, requirements, etc.
