Ways to Give Back

It’s the Season of Giving, and the St. Charles community is known for its giving spirit. There are so many ways you can give back to help others in your community.

Consider donating to the City’s Neighbors in Need Fund. The money collected helps St. Charles residents struggling to pay their utility bills. Every penny donated goes directly to helping your neighbors in need. The Utility Billing Office works with local charities to determine who is eligible to receive assistance. The program, started in 2005, has been very successful over the years due to our very generous residents and businesses. This year alone the Neighbors in Need fund has assisted 21 households. We want to continue using this fund to help our residents, but the fund is at a record low. For more information regarding this program, please call Utility Billing at 630.377.4426.

There also are many deserving organizations that provide St. Charles residents with much-needed programs and services. These agencies do so much good work for the community and they can use your help.  The St. Charles Area Chamber of Commerce has an entire page on their website that lists 30 local non-profit organizations. Consider helping one of these charities. Many have volunteer opportunities too. View the page here.
