Flood insurance is available to any property owner located in the City of St. Charles. St. Charles has participated in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) for nearly 30 years. It does not matter if your structure is located in or out of an identified floodplain. Flood Insurance is available everywhere in St. Charles!
Come spring and summer, the City can expect heavy rain storms and the potential for flooding to accompany those heavy rains. In order to assist citizens that experience flooding due to significant rain events, the City will provide sand and sand bags at our Public Work Facility when a significant rain event is expected.
When flooding occurs, areas around and within your home can be very dangerous. Please consider the following safety tips:
Please call (630)443-3681 in an emergency for immediate Public Works assistance.
If this is a life threatening situation call 911 to dispatch emergency services personnel. Please provide the location of the flooding.
What is a LOMC?
A LOMC is a letter which reflects an official revision to an effective NFIP map. LOMCs are issued in place of the physical revision and republication of the effective map.
