Thanks to everyone who came out to support the Coffee with Champions fundraiser. Because of your generosity, our police department raised $7,053 for Special Olympics Illinois. Thank you for your giving spirit St. Charles! And special thanks to the Dunkin' stores at 1711 W. Main St. and 1566 E. Main St. for once again hosting this amazing event.
Collecting donations from the long line of drive thru customers that day was John, a Special Olympian Gold Medalist in Golf, and Ofc. Jen Larsen, who organizes all of the Police Department’s Special Olympics fundraising events.
Ofc. Monaco, Police Chief Jim Keegan, Mayor Lora Vitek, City Administrator Heather McGuire, and Deputy Police Chief Chuck Pierce handed out Special Olympics “merch” at the event.
