Business Cited for Selling Tobacco to Minors

Mayor Lora Vitek, acting as Liquor Control Commissioner, enforced local tobacco ordinances for five local businesses cited for selling tobacco/alternative nicotine products to minors.

The citations were considered at the June 20, 2022, hearing of the St. Charles Liquor Control Commission. The Commission considers alcohol, tobacco and massage license issues. The following businesses were required to submit a $250 fine and $500 in court costs:

  1. Above St. Charles, Inc., d/b/a Above Standard II, 3657 East Main Street, St. Charles
  1. RDK Ventures LLC #6715, Mac’s Convenience Stores, LLC, d/b/a Circle K, 2500 East Main Street, St. Charles
  1. Walgreen’s 06795, 3351 West Main Street, St. Charles
  1. Walmart, Inc., d/b/a Walmart 1898, 150 Smith Road, St. Charles
  1. ZB Management, Inc., d/b/a Z Smoke N Vape, 2045 Lincoln Highway, St. Charles

“The City will continue to take a zero-tolerance approach to enforcing underage tobacco/alternative nicotine violations,” said Mayor Vitek.
