The 2018 Memorial Day Parade will be held Monday May 28, 2018 at 10 a.m. The Parade begins at 6th and W. Main Street. It then travels east to Riverside Avenue where it turns left (north) and will continue to the Freedom Walk north of the Police Department where a formal ceremony will be held.

The following road construction work is anticipated for the week of July 7 through July 14.
At the request of the St. Charles Police Department, the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has reduced the speed limit on Main Street/IL Rt. 64 to 25 MPH between 7th Street & 7th Avenue. This expands the previous 25 MPH zone between 4th Street & 4th Avenue. IDOT has installed new speed limit signs alerting drivers to this new speed zone.
Residents will be Notified in Advance of Any Service Interruptions Due to Construction
The City of St. Charles is launching a large-scale project to replace a water main on North 5th Ave, (IL Rt. 25). The project is scheduled to begin April 27 and is expected to be completed by September 2015.
