The Kane County Special Needs Registry is a tool that allows the Office of Emergency Management and Health Department to be able to contact residents who may have special needs during an emergency. The Apartment Complex Officer Program has been developed over the years as a cooperative effort between the St. Charles Police Department and several community apartment complexes. Participating complexes sign a contract with the Department that outlines how the two parties will coordinate enforcement efforts of unwanted behavior within the complex, dealing especially with conflict that takes place after normal business hours.
The City of St. Charles’ Outdoor Disaster Warning System consists of a series of sirens strategically located throughout the City of St. Charles and is intended to provide warning of impending danger.
The St. Charles Police Department currently manages nine elementary school crossings. All other crossings are managed and staffed by CUSD #303.
The Fire Department is happy to host tours of the fire stations. If your interested group would like to schedule a tour, please contact the Fire Department Administration Office at (630) 377-4458 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday, at least two weeks in advance of the event. We can accommodate most times with the proper notice.
