Community Clean Up (Formerly Spring Clean Up) Dates

April 27 on East Side & May 4 on West Side

The City of St. Charles Community Clean Up program (formerly Spring Clean Up) is back for 2024. Community Clean Up allows residents to place unwanted items at the curb for collection. Collection dates are April 27 for residents on the East Side of the river and May 4 for the West Side. This is a service for residents within St. Charles city limits only.

Items must be placed on the curb (not in the street) before 7 a.m. to ensure pickup by Lakeshore Recycling Systems. Once Lakeshore’s collection crews have passed through an area they will not come back. Also, please do not place items out more than 48 hours before the collection.

If you would like to keep containers used to hold items, mark them “Do not throw can away.” They cannot be retrieved once collected. Rugs and carpet should be rolled, taped/tied and cut into segments.

  • Any Items weighing more than 50 lbs.
  • Any Items larger than 5 feet in length
