Beginning October 1, the Contractor will begin concrete work on the placement of new concrete roadways and driveways for the south side of East Main Street. This work is expected to be completed within the next few weeks.
Beginning October 1, the Contractor will begin concrete work on the placement of new concrete roadways and driveways for the south side of East Main Street. This work is expected to be completed within the next few weeks.
The Contractor will also begin prepping and placing the subgrade and sub-base of the new roadway from Powis Road to Smith Road on the north side of East Main Street. This work is expected to take place over the next two weeks. Once the sub-base of the new roadway has been completed the Contractor will begin placement of an asphalt cap over the new sub-base.

Due to modifications to the existing grading elevations near the intersection of Kautz Road and East Main Street, the Contractor will be closing the intersection at Kautz Road and East Main Street for one day beginning Tuesday September 18 at 6:00 am. This intersection is expected to be reopened by 5:00 pm the following day.

The contractor will continue working on the rebuilding of the new roadway from Powis Road to Kautz Road on the south side of East Main Street. This work is expected to take place over the new 4-5 weeks.

The Contractor will continue the transferring of water services on the new water main installed near Dunham Road heading east on East Main Street for approximately 1000 feet. This work is expected to be completed by the end of the week. Local businesses may experience temporary water shut-offs during this time. Public Works crews will be providing additional notification prior to these interruptions.

The Contractor will be working on the replacement of an existing storm box culvert just west of the intersection of East Main Street and 9th Avenue. This work will also include the modification to the existing outfall pipes discharging into the North Tributary Creek. This work is expected to be completed in the next few weeks.

Lane reductions near the intersection of East Main Street and Dunham Road will continue this week for work associated with the installation of the new water main and utility work on the north side of East Main Street. The construction limits for this work are from Dunham Road heading east for approximately 1,000 feet.

Two crews continue to work on the installation of the new water main from 7th Avenue towards Hunt Club Drive. Crews will primarily be focusing on the installation of new water services for local businesses and homeowners. Temporary water shut-downs will be encountered during this work. FINAL PROJECT UPDATE - The South 4th Street Reconstruction project has been completed except for final landscape restoration, which will be completed as weather allows. Due to the excessive heat, the restoration work has been delayed.
