The work completed for the week ending June 20, 2015 included installation of watermain from Allen Lane south along the east side of 5th Avenue to the end of the project at North Avenue that was not completed last week. Fire hydrant installation on the 5th Avenue watermain continues this week.
The scheduled work for the week ending June 27, 2015 will include installation of valve vaults and fire hydrants on the 5th Avenue watermain. Pressure testing and chlorination of the watermain that was to begin the week of the 20th will begin first thing this week. The contractor will provide notifications to those residents affected by construction who may have restricted access to their driveways during this work 48 hours in advance.
All work schedules are weather dependent. Daily lane closures should be expected on IL Route 25 for the above work this week.
