Additional Outdoor Dining Space in Downtown St. Charles
A portion of 1st Street in downtown St. Charles closed to vehicle traffic to accommodate additional outdoor public seating. Access to the 1st Street parking structures remains. The existing plaza west of 1st Street accommodates outdoor dining for restaurants along the plaza. A portion of Walnut Avenue also is closed to accommodate outdoor dining for Flagship on the Fox restaurant. The St. Charles City Council approved a Temporary Outdoor Dining program to allow expanded outdoor dining for restaurants and bars in St. Charles, originally as a way to assist these businesses during the pandemic.
Road Closures Details
- 1st Street – A section of 1st Street from IL Rt. 64/Main St. to the entrance of the five-story parking is closed.
- Walnut Avenue – A section of Walnut Avenue along the length of Flagship on the Fox building is closed.
- Street closures are anticipated to remain in place from April through November.
