Update - 10/11/21

The following is the anticipated schedule for the remaining project work:

Week of October 11th

• Existing concrete driveway apron removals (starting Wednesday). Residents will receive a knock on their door prior to their apron being removed. Temporary stone will be installed on the same day as removal (restoring access).
• Remaining new water services between Ash and Elm (Thursday)
• Curb and sidewalk removals.

Update - 9/28/21

The intersection of Roosevelt and Elm will be closed during working hours on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday while the Contractor installs new storm sewer. Please plan your travel route accordingly.

Moving forward, weekly construction notices will only be posted on the City’s website and will no longer be handed out door to door. Specific construction notices, such as this one, will continue to be handed out on an as needed basis. 

Update - 9/24/21

Next week the Contractor will complete the installation of water main between Elm and Ash Streets on Monday and will begin excavating pits for drilling of new water services between Ash and Fox Glade Court on Tuesday. Wednesday the intersection of Roosevelt and Elm will be closed for installation of storm sewer. Thursday water service connections between Fox Glade and Ash will be switched from the old main to the new main. Water service reconnections in this section are expected to be completed by the end of the day Friday.

Update - 9/22/21

The intersection of Roosevelt and Elm will be closed during working hours on Thursday while the Contractor installs the last of the new water main. Please plan your travel route accordingly.

Update - 9/17/21

Next week the Contractor will complete the installation of services from Fox Glade Court to 15 Roosevelt. Prior to your new water service being connected to your old water service an on-site field representative from the City or the contractor will be knocking on your door to let you know your service is about to be transferred over and your water will be temporarily turned off for 5 to 10 minutes. After services are completed through this section, work will continue at the intersection of Elm and Roosevelt on Thursday, continuing toward Ash Street on Friday.

Update - 9/10/21

Next week the Contractor will be installing a small section of water main and water services from Fox Glade Court to 15 Roosevelt. Prior to your new water service being connected to your old water service an on-site field representative from the City or the contractor will be knocking on your door to let you know your service is about to be transferred over and your water will be temporarily turned off for 5 to 10 minutes.

Update - 9/9/21

Anticipated work for the week of 9/13/21 

Pour reminder of concrete sidewalk 

Pour concrete toe walls on box culvert end sections

Final grading and restoration of area north of Indiana

Pave binder and surface on Illinois Avenue

Pave surface on Indiana and Walnut Avenue 

Pave bike path

Install fencing 

Update - 9/3/21

Next week the Contractor will be installing sanitary sewer services and water services from east of Fox Glade Court to 15 Roosevelt. During sewer service installation, residents at these addresses can maintain normal water use. For the installation of the water services, residents will receive a separate notice informing them when their temporary water loss will occur.

Additionally, water main improvements will occur at the intersection of Fox Glade Court and Roosevelt Street on Tuesday.

No construction work will occur on Monday September 6th.

The intersection of Roosevelt and Elm will be closed for a few hours on Thursday morning. Please plan your travel route accordingly.
