The schedule of work for the week of August 4 is as follows:

Watermain work will begin Monday or Tuesday at the south end of the parking lot and will proceed north.  This work is expected to take approximately three days.

The Fire Hydrant at State and Riverside is going to be relocated during the middle of the week.

The Municipal Parking Lot Reconstruction is underway.  As with any construction project, things must happen in sequential order and coordination between utilities and sub-contractors is critical. A project of this type will be very active on certain days and not so much on others.  Keeping that in mind, the following schedule is what we know to be taking place for the remainder of the week of July 28. The overall project is not delayed and is anticipated to be open by Scarecrow Festival.

Week of July 28, 2014

The parking lot is currently closed between City Hall and the Police Station to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

Curb and sidewalk has been removed through the project limits. Utility work has started and will continue this week.

Pavement removal is scheduled to begin this week.

Week of July 21, 2014

Beginning the week of July 21, construction fencing is to be installed and pavement is to be removed in preparation of utility repairs and site grading.  The parking lot will be closed between City Hall and the Police Station as of Monday July 21.

The US Mail and utility bill drop boxes have been temporary relocated north of the intersection of North Riverside Ave. and State Ave. Links to “Temporary Drop Box Location” and “Downtown Parking Map” are available under Project Documents.
