Construction

Painting of the water tower has been completed. 

The watermain has been installed from the tank to the existing stub; site work and pressure testing will continue this week.   

Due to unforeseen circumstances the Red Gate Road Resurfacing project has been delayed and will not be starting construction the week of June 25th.  More information will be posted on the City’s project website on the status of this project when it becomes available.

The work proposed for the week of June 27th includes:

• West Side Streets
• Fellows Street – Utility structure work is scheduled to begin the week of June 20th.
• S. 6th Street - Utility structure work is scheduled to begin the week of June 20th.

• Brush Pick-Up – This area is scheduled for brush pick up the week of June 20th and will continue as planned.  All brush material should be placed in the parkway outside of the area that the contractor is working.  Any questions, please contact the Public Works Department at 630-377-4486.

The work for this project is anticipated to start the week of June 25th, with completion in mid-August. 

South Tyler Road from Tyler Road to Cambridge Drive has been stabilized and will be back open to residents who specifically live within these few blocks.  Please be advised that this roadway is not intended to be utilized by the general public and is posted with signage at all access location with ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC.  Only the residents within the project area should be utilizing this area to access their homes during the evening hours. 

Due to weather conditions, South Tyler Road between Ronzheimer and Larson will be temporarily closed.

Residents who live in this area, please park on adjacent side streets during this closure.
