Weather pending, the contractor plans to place fresh oil on the roadway and begin the first layer of paving yet this week. The week of August 1st the contractor will be working to place the final layer of asphalt this week as well as the gravel shoulder.
Highgate Area – We have received notification that several residents have not been receiving their mail. The Post Office has been contacted and they will be delivering mail to those areas they felt they could not access tomorrow. If you experience any further interruption of service, please contact the Post Office directly at 630-584-2318. Thank you for your patience during the construction of the roadway.

The week of July 25th, the contractor will be milling the existing pavement, pavement patching, installing the first layer of asphalt and paving fabric. The roadway will be open to traffic with flaggers directing vehicles around the work taking place.
The work proposed for the week of July 18th includes:
Resurfacing Area (Division Street to Cambridge Drive) - No work anticipated.
Reconstruction Area (Cambridge Drive to Tyler Road) – The contractor will be placing the new curb and concrete driveway aprons. The roadway in this area will continue to be closed to traffic. During this closure, all refuse collection will take place as usual.
